Location, location, location.

Dear Mustangs,

Congratulations on a good season so far. I have tried to balance the playing field for you as far as what people write about you. I have tried all season to be a presence for Sweetwater in this Abilene market. I have done my best to make people aware of you outside of Nolan County.

I still read items like this from today's Abilene Reporter News:

"Class 3A: Snyder and Wylie are both in from District 4, though the positioning is still up in the air; wins by both Wylie Sweetwater would make a three-way tie with Snyder, which Sweetwater would win on point differential, with Wylie second and Snyder third. Should Sweetwater lose to Merkel, though, it would be 2-2, with losses to Wylie and Merkel - meaning it's a win-and-you-get-first-place situation for the Mustangs. Of course, if Sweetwater is upset by Merkel, it's the Badgers moving on in third place and the Mustangs staying home. Meanwhile, in less convoluted districts, Breckenridge needs to beat Vernon in District 5 and Comanche is in from District 8."

Frankly, I have done all that I can to level the "newspaper" playing field. But it still comes down to ya'll.

Today is Wednesday. Let's focus like it's an out of town game. Let's call it a business trip at home. Let's put all the scenerios away, and just go out and play your best. You will be just fine.
