Abilene Wylie VS. Snyder

Good morning Mustangs.
It's Friday in Texas, and I know the Mustangs have a much deserved open date tonight, so I just couldn't help but write about the big game in Snyder tonight.
Lots of folks are trying to figure how this game will go. This should be one of the very best games in the entire state tonight.
I don't know if Chad Rogers can do this on a high school level or not, but whenever the pro teams have a dangerous qb, the defense allows one player to just "shadow" the player. In the case of Michael Vick for the Atlanta Falcons, there have been times where a linebacker just keys on him. Follows him if he drops to pass, runs the ball, or whatever. I may be talking out of my hat, but it would be neat if Snyder had someone to shadow Case Keenum and give him fits.
Bottom line is the game is in Snyder. The game will be between the Snyder defense and the Wylie offense.
This year has been like last year in District 4-3A. Last year, Wylie defeated Sweetwater, Sweetwater defeated Snyder, and Snyder defeated Wylie for a 3 way district championship. So far this year, all the tumblers have fallen into place just like last year. The game tonight will determine if the final combination will fall into place. I say it will. I know that on paper, Abilene Wylie should win this game. But I think tonight, the Snyder Tigers find a way to win....it's just pre-determined that way.
Snyder Tigers 21, Abilene Wylie Bulldogs 14

Boy, this is exciting. As you say, Lew, everything points to Wylie. Why do you and I both have this hunch about Snyder. Well, we will soon find out. It will be interesting to see some prediction from other Mustang fans.
I wish my Mustangs were playing but they need and deserve a night off.
Merkel and then the play-offs. On to State Mustangs!!!!!!

I agree J.B.
I always think and believe if a coach knows what the keys are, it just seems logical they would in some way go out on a limb and try something that the opponent may not be aware of about themselves. I think Chad Rogers spent all week in the film room looking for such keys to Wylie. Notice I used "keys" in conjuction with my tumblers in a lock theory? Pretty nifty huh? LOL
Anyways, I think you and I are on the same page here. Snyder is the type of team to really spring some surprises tonight.

Boy Oh boy I am going to enjoy this. Since I have more or less predicted I do care how it comes out. However, I am not as emotionally involved as if my Mustangs were in it. Let's have fun with this regardless of how it comes out. I coached Little League FB. I scouted my opponents and looked for what we called a Brother-in-Law. Some player we thought we could take advantage of. That is close to what you are saying.
Thanks Lew. Always enjoy your comments.
