That must have been a great game to see. I'm going to start checking on District 3-3A tomorrow. Just to see what the possibilities are.

You are right, Lew, it was probably a great one to see. Look forward to what you are able to find out about who we play in the first game of the play-offs. Of course we need to cinch our helmets on tight and get after Merkel. No slip-ups at this point.

I just want to comment how good it has been to share with all you people our love for Mustang football. It has been such a pleasure. Such nice people. Intelligent and thoughtful. And thank you, Lew, for providing us this forum.

J.B. thanks for your comments and I have really enjoyed reading yours and everyone's comments. This is shaping up to be a re-match with Snyder, but that's a long ways from now.

It's been a pleasure and an honor to be here this year and write about Mustang football.

Snyder over here; I will probably have to root for the Badgers; nothing personal.lol
I hear Monahans talking alot of smack; no respect for our district; who have they played? For week 9:
1. Monahans 9-0; 4-0
2. Greenwood 5-4; 3-1
3. Seminole 4-5; 2-2
4. Ft.Stockton 3-6; 1-3
5. Pecos?
6. Lamesa?
Any way good luck and just maybe we will get a chance to pay yall back?

Here's an old Sweetwater ex who now lives in New Mexico. We have a good clean FB rivalry with Snyder. And that is good. Makes both of us better.I will join Lew in congratulating you on the victory over Abilene Wylie. We knew it would be close but Lew and I both predicted Snyder to win. Don't blame you for pulling for Merkel but don't bet the farm on it. On to State Mustangs.

I'm not sure about them? looks like the only decent teams they played, were Colorado city (2-a) Midland Christian Private school(6-3), and Greenwood (5-4, 3-1). for the rest Kermit and Merkel, and Brownfield in 3-a. the rest of their district dosen't have a winning record?(huh?) but you never know about highschool football! As for the better team, I am rooting for Greenwood, just to show Monahans they better give some respect to perhaps one of the toughest district in the state. You know to get respect you first have to give it, and how would you like to beat one of these teams and then have the next one waiting on you, now that sounds scarry to me on halloween. lol (if everything goes allright)

You are right Mr. D. Robertson. Most of us here on this web-site are died in the wool Mustang fans but we respect Snyder. If you play anybody outside our district we root for you. You have a fine FB team and that is one reason it is an honor to play you. If you have the Monahans record......teams they played and the scores.....we would be interested in seeing it so we can kind of get an idea how strong they are.
