The polls get it right

The new polls are out. I compliment all the voters for getting it right.

Congrats to District 4-3A for still having all 3 teams in the Top 10. Something will have to give this week as Abilene Wylie visits Snyder. Good luck to both Wylie and Snyder. Of course, one team will win and another will lose. But the playoffs isn't a bad consolation.

I said all season that probably any of the teams in district 4-3A ranked higher than No. 8 were probably overrated. That included Snyder and Sweetwater at the time. Both lost. What I envisioned was the three teams (Sweetwater, Snyder and Wylie, not necessarily in that order) ranked No. 8, 9 and 10. I guess tied for eighth would be the best way to put it. I don't even know if you can still put one or the other out front because if these teams played each other again, the outcome might be different. Just ask Sweetwater about last year. They beat Snyder in the regular season and then suffered a heart-breaking loss to the Tigers in the playoffs. In order to see if these teams ought to be ranked higher than what they are now, I think we'll have to wait until the playoffs.

Thanks Lew, for the ratings info. You are right about the ratings. I guess they had rate them about like they did. Of course I rate my Mustangs a little higher. Ha We have a lot tougher district then some of those undefeated teams.
