World Series, are you serious?

The Houston Astros just seem to be glad they are in the World Series.

When the Astros won the NLCS in St. Louis, they could have packed up and flown right to Chicago and rested for a couple of days before Game 1 of the World Series in Chicago. Instead, they flew home to Houston, made frantic plans and dispersed tickets to relatives, boarded the flight from Houston to Chicago and got in Friday. Rush, rush, rush.

Why don't pro teams plan better? I don't have a clue. Roger Clemons has a strained leg muscle and barely made 2 innings in game 2.

The Chicago White Sox are up 3-0 after last night's marathon 14 inning game. Which leads to this question: How many people stayed up past midnight to watch it? I had enough at 12:10 and went to bed. Somewhere, back in the back of my mind I'm thinking, do advertisers really pay for advertising to a large group of fans after midnight?

I think the Sox are going to win the series (easy prediction) but why can't MLB let fans watch it at a decent hour?

I guess everything is bigger in Texas. The first World Series game in Texas had to cover two dates.

WELL LEW, ON THE TIME ISSUE, IT DID GO 14 INNINGS. THAT IS ONE REASON FOR THE LATENESS OF THE GAME, I FELL ASLEEP A LITTLE BEFORE 11PM. I HAD TO HEAR OF THE FINAL SCORE ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA OR ONE OF THOSE NEWS SHOWS.
I THINK THEY PLAYED VERY WELL IN ALL OF THE GAMES, THE DIFFERENCE, TO ME, THE UNTRAINED EYE IS A LOT MORE EXPLOSIVE FIRE POWER IN THE BATS. THE STROS HAVE HAD SOME WONDERFUL DEFENSIVE PLAYS AND FOR THE MOST PART, THE HITTING HAS BEEN GOOD. THE SOX HAVE A STRONGER ALL AROUND TEAM, PITCHING, DEFENSE, BULL PEN.
AND I THINK THE ASTROS ARE HAPPY TO JUST HAVE MADE IT TO THE BIG SHOW, AND YOU KNOW I AM TOO. THEY MADE IT TO THE SHOW, I AM PROUD OF THE GRIT IT TOOK FOR THEM TO MAKE IT THAT FAR WHEN MOST OF THE FREE WORLD HAD COUNTED THEM OUT. GO STROS............

Well, it is over now. Some may have thought it was over long before now. The Astros represented the State of Texas well I am proud of them and with the youguns, they may be a force next year. What about that young arm last night, what focus for such a young talent. The best team won.
