The rumor mill.....

You know, I hate to add to a rumor. Rumors do absolutely no good usually, but this latest rumor was too good to pass up not to share it with you.
It seems that my good friend who shall remain nameless, went to Littlefield High School today.
As he was standing in the hall speaking to a teacher, the subject came up about their next game against the Mustangs.
My friend said it was like unlocking the flood gates. Apparantly, the whole town of Littlefield believes that 9 Sweetwater Mustangs will be academically ineligible for this week's game.
Isn't it amazing what people will do in desperate times? Bring people down to their level?
I'm quite sure the Mustangs are fine.
What I question is a town that is ready to grab (or create) at any rumor to save their own skin.

That rumor started in Snyder---they were circulating that we played our game on Thursday night because we had several starters who would be academically ineligible the next day (Friday) when grades came out! NOT! The "grapevine" I'm hearing is that we didn't lose a single one!
Go figure!
Go Red!

Thanks Mustang-fan,
It amazes me what good folks will do in times of a crisis. I might suggest Littlefield pay more attention to their run defense instead of Sweetwater's grades.
