FIrst Game Jitters

This past friday the Tigers played host to the Hamlin Pipers. The Tiger offense was a little sluggish at the beginning of the game, but before the half was over the O line started making an open lane for the backs. Names like Arce, Haechten and Lozano will be heard and felt by defenses all season long. Other names to get use to are our backs Garcia, Jacques, Robinson, Ramos, Jones and Lewis.
I kept running into people asking me if that was a typo on the screen. Anson scored 61 points this past Friday night and the people that have lived here their whole lives could not remember the Tigers ever scoring 60 points in a football game.
The big story had to be the defense shutting down the Pipers. The first score of the game came with an interception from Ramos. The quarterback from Hamlin had pressure in his face all night long and holes and running lanes were hard to find in that Tiger D.
Anson heads to Albany this week to take on the Lions. A tough Lions team will be looking to get back on the winning track after last weeks defeat in Eastland. Im gonna tell ya this Tigers team is different than any I have been associated with.
This Tigers team is hungry. This is the first time in 6 years that the Tigers have won the first game of the season. Come out and watch what should be an exciting game in Albany this Friday night.
