Hamlin High School: Henry Jake Gardner

Rank: Salutatorian

Parents: Roy and Carmen Gardner

Grade average: 4.6196

Future plans: Attend Hardin-Simmons University and work to become a pediatrician.

School activities/honors: National Honor Society, regional qualifier in mathematics and accounting, Merit Scholar for College classes, prom king, and President’s Education Award.

What will you remember best about high school: The people I have met. They are unforgettable people who made me who I am today. Without the special people I have had in my life, I don’t think that I would not be the salutatorian.

What advice do you have for underclassmen: Work hard at whatever you do and you will go far. Also, you need to cherish the people that you meet because when you graduate, you won’t see them as much anymore. Your classmates are like your family, so remember them when they are gone from your life.
