PREDICTIONS FOR TOMORROW
By mark rogers
October 31, 2008
As we wind down to the end of the college football season, we have fewer and fewer big games.
There are two big ones tomorrow - Texas @ Texas Tech and Florida vs. Georgia in Jacksonville.
Whoever loses those games will more than likely be completely out of the national title hunt. The winner of those two games will be in the driver's seat.
If Florida wins out, wins the SEC East and the conference game against Alabama (unless LSU can upset Alabama), Florida goes to the BCS Title game.
If Texas wins out, wins the Big 12 South and the conference game against Missouri, Texas plays for it all.
But think of all the possibilities there. Texas could lose to Tech could lost to OU, then I'm not even sure how they'd break that tie. I'd have to do some research. Tech could beat Texas lose to OU and Oklahoma State and Oklahoma State could beat OU. There goes my nose itching again. I have to stop doing that.
LSU could beat Alabama and win the SEC championship...again. Penn State will probably win out and would have to be considered for the BCS Title game IF and only if the Big 12 or SEC have a one-loss team.
Wasn't this post titled "Predictions for Tomorrow"? Let's get back on track...
I've already posted my feelings on the Texas/Tech game tomorrow...look below to ready my prediction there.
I think Florida will beat Georgia tomorrow. They're playing at a high level and will be looking for payback after the Bulldog Party in the endzone last year.
Oklahoma will smear Nebraska. But what a game that used to be...
Florida State and Georgia Tech should also be a good game. The ACC is totally up in the air. I called FSU to be a surprise team for 2008 so I'll stick with them to win their division and play for the ACC Title.
By the way my surprise teams before the season were Florida State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Notre Dame.
