Colt McCoy and Limas Sweed are on the cover of the latest issue of Sports Illustrated for Kids. I don't have the magazine so I can't scan you in a photo. You'll have to settle for a picture of his rookie card currently on eBay (at the right).
But you can see a grainy scan of the cover at the Austin American-Statesman's website.
McCoy is holding a football and a large "0", while Limas Sweed is holding a large "1," as in Top 10. Longhorn fans are hoping that is the No. 1 connection this season.
The magazine ranks the University of Texas as No. 2 in the nation behind USC, while they have McCoy ranked No. 1 as the best "impact underclassman," and No. 8 in Heisman contention. Also the magazine ranks the UT/OU Oct. 6 matchup as the No. 1 "must-see" game.
I tend to agree with the "kids" on all of the above, except I think McCoy could be No. 3 or No. 4 in Heisman voting this season. You know they're never going to give it to a sophomore, but that leaves him two more years.
