HERE AND THERE

Colt McCoy, shown here signing autographs at halftime at the recent Jim Ned boys' state semi-final basketball game in Austin, will be the keynote speaker for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Victory Banquet on April 6 at the Abilene Civic Center.
Colt will also help introduce the all-stars, coaches and cheerleaders that have been selected to play in the 9th Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Myrle Greathouse All-Star Classic football game which will be held June 7 at Abilene's P.E. Shotwell Stadium.
There are only a few tickets left for the Victory Banquet (set for 4 p.m.), and they have to be purchased by Monday, March 17. You can contact the Big Country FCA office at (325) 795-0020. Individual tickets are $75.
P.S. Jim Ned lost in the finals the very next day. Back in 2005, Colt was a heckuva basketball player as well. His team of Indians made it to the state finals, too, but also lost.
