ONE LAST MOAN

I've got a lot of post-Turkey Day catching up to do - not just the A&M stats and slideshow, but my real job as well - so I will only say one more brief thing about the BCS.

The BCS is not really THAT worthless - except when its computers are faced with situations such as the one we have now.

I'm no geek, but it seems to me that they just need to change one little algorithm.* The computer just needs to "digest" this bit of info before spitting out a result: "If two teams have the same records and one of them beats the other, under no circumstances would the losing team be awarded a higher standing than the winner." I'm sure the gearheads could figure out how to code that in.

What's wrong with head-to-head? The human polls finally saw the value of it Sunday, but the computers could not - given the way they must have been programmed.

No more on this subject. It'll just sound like whining. And you know how much Aggies and Sooners like it when you whine - since that is their normal means of communication.

* a prescribed set of well-defined, unambiguous rules or processes for the solution of a problem in a finite number of steps.

What about Tech Colt? They beat you and OU drilled them. I know it's a hard pill to swallow with UT beating OU head-to-head. But, OU is rolling over teams right now and I honestly believe if you played them today, they would destroy UT. OU and Florida will be the best NC scenario anyone could come up with. I bet Mack is absolutely crying over this with all the whining and begging he did on national tv. I hope you guys do well in whatever bowl you play in.
