Coogs aren't a target for anybody

First I wanna say congratulations to Amon Pimpton for an outstanding rushing job against Hereford breaking both Terry Orr and Mike Rose's (single game rushing) school records. I went to middle school and high school with Mike and I know he would be happy with a running back the caliber of Pimpton breaking his record. An outstanding job by the Coogs all the way around; they dominated the second half and really sent a shudder through the district. There was a certain amount of muscular play by the Cougars and I believe thats how Spradlin wanted it. A lot of run it up the gut football and a O-line that is showing all the weight room is working. I am beginning to see the emergence of the deep passing routes and I think by allowing Amon to run roughshod over Hereford; that many defensive coordinators are going to have to change their plans. There going to have to start accounting for Pimpton and Padrill on every play, which is going to open up the other side of the spread package. I look for next week to be heavy on passing to get Ryan and the receivers on the same page. Once again gratz to the Coogs and I'll talk at you later next week as we get ready for Lakeview.
