Southlake Carroll 52 Abilene High ZERO!

Bathe it! Put perfume on it! Dress it up however you wish. This one stinks awful. How far South can a 12-0 season go when it crashes down around your head and becomes a 12-1 year and ends with a country whipping that left nothing unturned? It was not even close as the score indicates. Clocks were cleaned for the Eagles courtesy of the Dragons of SLC land.
Did you see coming? I doubt many Eagles fans did. Sure there will be some who will say I told you so! I had a few fans from elsewhere tell me it was going to be a blowout. I wasn’t sure we could beat SLC but I thought we could make them struggle for the victory. Boy was I wrong. After two straight scoring drives by SLC I told everyone around me that if they scored again before the Eagles did that it was going to get ugly. I had no idea how prophetic that statement was. OK! I am through venting now.
!0-0 2 in a row! Sweet my anybodies standard! Outright District Champions again. Winners of two playoff games again. Lots of folks would love to say those things about their teams. The Eagles took lots of new faces, coaches and players alike, and went right back to where they had been the year before and didn’t miss a step. Las year’s game with SLC was close and an instant classic while this game this year was a blow out. What can I say. It was a long trip home and now I have a couple of grandbabies in my home for the holidays and they are both crying so that will end this blog for the night. Later this game and season will be revisited.

As a three generation EAGLE fan, I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of our team. None of you have any reason to hang your head. Living in KC, MO I have to rely on phone calls and GoFridayNight for scores. It's always great to see the EAGLES on top once again. When we were EAGLES in '66-'68 we longed for a 12-0 record. We are soooooooo proud of continuing the winning tradition. I have driven from KC for football games, so I guess I could call myself a life time EAGLE. I don't care if they win or lose, although winning is always more fun, I WILL ALWAYS BE AN EAGLE.

I traveled with all the other eagle fans to waco in hopes to see us finally beat Soutlake, but it just didn't happen. At least we are at the same place we were last year. I have complete faith that the Eagles will one day go all the way to State. They can do it, and they will. I will be at every game next season supporting and rooting the team on to victory once again. WAY TO GO EAGLES!! GREAT SEASON!!!
