A First for AHS in Coach Warren Era

For the first time in since Coach Warren took over the head coaching job, the Eagles will go into the third game this week with 2 losses. The last time that it happened was back in 1995 when Gary Gaines was here. I feel really bad for Coach Warren so far this year. I know that in the back of his mind he knows that this is a first for him, but he also knows that he cant dwell on that.
This year has started out rough, and the Warbirds still have tough games ahead. I can only hope things will get better as we get closer to District play. With Mesquite coming to Shotwell on Friday, I hope that the Eagles will protect our house. I want us to get a check mark in the Win column for Homecoming. I hope Coach Warren runs a great practice this week in preparation for that game. One thing at a time. I don’t want us to look ahead to the game at Texas Stadium after this week. Based on the game against Monterey, I think that the Eagles need to relearn the fact that they have to come out of the locker room fired up. I expect some adjustments in that area before Friday night’s game. I know it is bad to say this, but it looked like most of the players were asleep from my point of view. I hope that we give a great showing this Friday. GO EAGLES!!!!
