ACU/Eastern N.M. first quarter

The Cats have too much speed for Eastern to handle, both on offense and on defense.

The Hounds are doing a fair job of containing the run, but there's a reason they are 11th in the 13-team LSC in pass defense. ACU's up 10-0 right now but should have been 14-0 as Billy Malone overthrew a wide open receiver in the end zone prior to a 21-yard field goal.

Michael Benton has 48 yards in the first quarter, but the bulk of those came on a single 35-yard run. So far the top rusher in D-II has been all but bottled up.
