Brownwood at the half

This one should probably be worse.

Brownwood's up 27-0 at the half, and Sweetwater doesn't have a first down through the first two quarters. Let me say that once more ... the Mustangs do not have a single first down.

The only bright spot for the visitors, really, is that this isn't worse. The Mustang defense has really acquitted itself pretty well, and kept Brownwood from scoring in the last minute of the half with a couple of big sacks on Pachall, who now has eight carries for a loss of four yards.

So it isn't that great a game, but at least I'm not Marc David. He's sitting there in Lubbock in a deluge still waiting for the game to start. Last I heard, they're hoping for a 9:30 p.m. start there. Ugh. I'm hoping to be out of here before that one hits halftime - if it ever does.

OK, I know this looks bad for Sweetwater...but the injury bug has already bitten the Mustangs...I think we are down to the 3rd string QB?

Got to have faith before District play

I write the Mustang blog for GoFridayNight.com and I am a little surprised to learn that Sweetwater has 27 total yards on offense in the first half. The 5 turnovers certainly don't help either. We just have to keep the faith and try to get healthy.
