School activities/honors: As a ninth grader Maria participated in band and tennis. She is currently the senior class secretary and she holds a two year membership in the National Honor Society. She has received the perfect attendance award for her freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. She has been on the A-B honor roll for three years. As a freshman she received the BCIS and social studies awards. She has been the recipient of the math award for three years, and the Spanish award for two years. As a sophomore she earned the Desktop Publishing award. As a junior she received the American history award and the Accounting Class award. She has participated in UIL math. This year she received the Pre-Calculus Award as well as the Social Studies Department and Math Department awards.
Future plans: Maria plans to attend Angelo State University and major in business.
