A High School Football Blogger for Jim Ned? Why Not Me?

Hi, my name is Suzie Hall, and hopefully I might be able to step up to the task as the official GoFridayNight.com blogger for the Jim Ned Indians.

I come with camera in hand, aiming to collect the season that might take the Indians to the state. And if the game the Indians played against the Jarrell Cougars in their season opener is any indication, a trip to Austin could be a possibility.

There was some question whether Jim Ned would be as tough as they were the season prior, but by the second quarter against Jarrell, any doubts were laid to rest.

Zac Shew and Matt Blandon each ran for six points on punt returns just over two minutes apart. In the second quarter, the offensive line seemed to sew together a pocket for Colt McCoy, who threw for three touchdowns to three different receivers.

After reaching the end zone twice more in the third quarter, it became fairly obvious that the Jim Ned Indians were a force to be reckoned with. As you recall, the final score was 48-12.

Last Friday, of course, the Indians beat Eastland 22-10, and this Friday they host Grape Creek of San Angelo.

See you at the game!

p.s. Here's a photo of Colt McCoy (No. 4) throwing the ball to Cam Holson (No. 3) early in the first half of the Jarrell game.

Welcome aboard Suzie!
I write the Sweetwater Blog here, and it's been lots of fun. I think Danny Reagan and his staff at the NEWS, has done a super job on this web site, and look forward to keeping up with high school football here. Good luck, and holler if ya need anything!
