I have not written in a long time. Mostly because I am lazy and several posts I do write I decide not to publish because they are somewhat lame.

I mean are you interested in how NWA was responsible for some of the most successful rappers of all-time?

These past few weeks we have been working on some new things at the paper that I want to let you in on. . .

On thanksgiving we had our largest paper of the year. We normally expect to sell out of this paper because of all the specials that it comes with. Well then that Mother Nature blew in and tried to hold us down. I am proud to say that it was a very successful day

Also starting on Thursday's we are going to start a new initiative to single copy buyers

Sin*gle Co*py - adj. a term used to describe the reader who purchases the newspaper from a newsstand or vending machine. ex. I love our single copy readers, they bring joy to my life.

We will have merchandisers at different locations looking for people who purchase the newspaper. If they see someone purchase a newspaper they will receive a gift card to that store. Just our way of saying thank you.

On December 18th, we will have a End of Year Special for people to subscribe to the paper. Everyone who subscribes that day will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 that will be given away every 4 hours, from 7am-7pm

At the end of December we are working on a Giveaway for something big. It hasn't been finalized yet but I will tell you that if I wasn’t an employee of the ARN I would definitely participate.

Then at the end of January my new promotion game begins. This will be my first attempt at such a huge undertaking and I am pumped. It is new it is fresh and it will be fun to get the ball rolling on such a huge undertaking. Now the only question is will people participate? I think they will.

News in the Big Country.

Abilene High vs. Southlake is this Saturday. This will easily be the biggest game in the state this weekend.

Trinity plays Odessa Permian at Shotwell. If you do not get to go to the AHS game this weekend or any other of the 16 teams in the playoffs from the Big Country go to this game. At least the beginning. The Trinity team is known for their pre-game ritual.

I personally have always been a huge fan of the New Zealand All Blacks and this "War Dance" has been a long standing tradition.
