Welcome to the State SemiFinals Six-Man style

Well, we have played our way down to 4 teams in each division of Six-Man football. I would truly love to see both games in Division 1 and Division 2. Impossible!
Division 1 has 4 undefeated teams. I will be making trios to Comanche on Friday night and on Saturday to Lubbock to wact the Division 1 Semifinals. Nothing against Division 2. I just can't pass up the match ups that Division 1 has to offer. The Meadow Broncos are 13-0 and play against the Rule Bobcats who are 12-0. This game will be played Saturday at 6:00 PM in Lubbock at Lowrey Field. I stopped ranking teams at the end of the regular season. Some continue to rank teams even now and Meadow is ranked number 1 in the state and Rule number 2.
Meadow has scored 804 points while giving up 275 points. Rounded that equates to Meadow outscoring their opposition on the average of 62-21. Saturday's opponent, the Rule Bobcats have won 11 games against no losses. They have averaged 55 points a game while the defense has given up 15 points a game. I have seen both teams play and they are very impressive. Reality is one goes on the other goes home. Six-Man Central picks Rule to win by the score of 48 to 34.
The other match up is Blum and Richland Springs. This is a Friday night game to be played at 7:30 PM in Comanche. Get there early if you want a seat. Blum is 13-0. They have managed to score 751 points and their defense has given up 120 points. Looking at the rounded averages, Blum scores 58 points a game and gives up 9. Most impressive is Blum has shut out 8 teams in the 13 games they have played. Impressive does not tell the story there. There are not that many schools that shuts out even one opponent much less 8! Richland Springs also brings impressive numbers to this contest. The Coyotes, (12-0) have scored 746 points and given up 108 points in 12 contest this season. The average there is 62 points a game on offense and 9 points on defense. Both teams will give up more than 9 in this one. Six-Man Central sees this one as Richland Springs 38 Blum 24.
Four teams with a combined record of 49-0. It can't get better than that.
Division 2 also has 2 excellent match ups. Jayton, (11-2) will play Whitharral, (10-2) Saturday at 7:00 PM in Post. I have seen both Jayton and Whitharral play this season. Jayton has averaged scoring 50 points a game while giving up 25 points a game. Whitharral is scoring 58 points a game on the average while giving up 32 points a game. Jayton is favored in most circles and by as much as 16 points. Six-Man Central smells an upset here and picks Whitharral to win 30-24.
The other Division 2 match up pits Vernon Northside, (12-1) against Gustine, (12-1). This is a Friday night game to be played in Throckmorton at 7:30 PM. Again, I have seen both teams and they are deserving to be playing in December. Northside has averaged scoring 63 points a game while giving up 20 points a game. Gustine has scored on the average of 55 points a game while giving up 12 points a game. The Indians of Northside will play it close before losing to Gustine. Six-Man Central sees this one 46 to 36 Gustine winning.
To the teams that I have picked to win and to the teams I have picked to lose, I say Good Football To You. Remember, the games or not won or lost just because some old codger says so. They are won or lost on the field.
My wish is you each play your best game of the year and that all remain injury free and that which ever 4 teams advance to next week's State Championship games, that you will consider playing in Abilene.
