WEEK THREE GAMES OF THE WEEK

There are many great games to be played in WEEK THREE. I have chosen 5 games that intrigue me on paper. The number 0ne key match up has to be Division One defending State Champion Richland Springs hosting Gordon.

RS comes into the contest 3-0 averaging 69 points on offense and giving up 17 points on defense. Most of us think about RS scoring lots of points over the last few years. They certainly have done that! Don't forget their defense. If you do, you're in BIG trouble. By the way, RS is currently ranked #3 in the state in Division One. Gordon happens to be the #6 team in Division One. They also have a 3-0 record. The Longhorns are scoring 72 points a game and giving up 32 points a game. My opinion is Gordon has played the tougher schedule so far. Richland will win but may have a difficult time. The official spread has RS favored by 17. This should be a great game.

Division One match up between # 12 Meadow (3-0) at #16 Paducah (2-0) also looks good on paper. Meadow scores on the average 59 points a game. They have given up an average of 7 points a game. Grady scored 20 points on Meadow while Meadow shutout their other two opponents. Paducah averages 57 points while giving up 16 points a game. Meadow is favored by 7.

Yet another great looking game pits #7 Throckmorton (3-0) against #13 May (3-0). Throck is averaging 58 points a game while giving up an average of 19. May on the other hand averages 55 points a game and gives up an average of 21. Officially, May is a 12 point underdog at home. There May be a surprise here.

A great Division 2 match up is between Borden County and Rule. #2 Borden County(2-0) will host #7 Rule (2-1). Borden County is averaging 44 points a game and gives up 6 a game. Rule is averaging 49 a game and is giving up 16 on average. Borden County is a 23 point favorite. BTW, Rule's loss was to the hands of Division One #16 Paducah. The story I hear is Paducah out quicked the Bobcats on both sides of the ball.

#9 Northside (2-0) and # 51 Saint Jo (3-0) is the last game I am hyping for WEEK THREE. Saint Jo is home and they average 49 points a game and have only given up a total of 6 points through the first three games. They have been huge under dogs according to the official spread and are undefeated. This is Saint Jo's first season in Six-Man. They are doing real well. This week's game against Northside will welcome them to the real world of Six-Man. Northside averages 68 points a game and gives up an average of 42. Northside has moved up from Division 2 to Division 1. They are physical.
The official spread has Saint Jo a 45 point dog against the Indians. I am not picking an upset here but I don't believe the Indians will 45 Saint Jo.

To the best of my knowledge, all of these games are Friday night at 7:30 PM. Enjoy!
