Thank you for covering the UIL contest. You have done a great job of recognizing the kids. The students work hard and should be honored for advancing to the state contest. So often we read about athletes and hear so little about academics. I love sports and beleive they are good for our kids but also understand the great benefit of academic competition. As a parent of a contestant (Stephanie Jones of Jayton) I am grateful for the coverage and hope you will continue to support our kids in this and other ways.
