Jayton: Tyler Jesus Rodriquez
Age: 15
Grade: Freshman
Event: Accounting
How long you’ve been competing: 1 year
What’s the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: Performing under the strain of time limits, being the youngest team member and trying to excel to the level of my peers (including my own teammates). Also, I feel additional pressure because I am the first member of my family (on either parent's side) to ever compete at the state level in any school competition.
First thing you’ll do when you win: I will call my mother, father and uncle to let them know how excited I am to have won at the state level (even though they are proud of me just for advancing to the state competition).
Past honors in the event: I'm a first timer
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: Band, Basketball
College plans: I am planning to attend Texas Tech where I will go to medical school to become a Pediatrician or a nutritionist.
Birthplace: Abilene, TX
One thing your parents, a sibling or even a best friend might not know about you: If I told you, then they would know.
