How long you’ve been competing: Four years
What’s the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: Well at first it was Alan, I always wanted to beat him but now its just the competition between our team members.
First thing you’ll do when you win: Jump for joy and yell, “SUCCESS!” Then I’m going to eat chocolate ice cream.
Past honors in the event: 1st place team at district in 2005, 2006, 2007; 1st place team at regional’s in 2005,2006, 2007; 2nd place team at State in 2005; 4th place team at State in 2006; State Qualifier in 2005, 2006, 2007
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); Future Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); National Honor Society; Student Council; Spanish Club; Science Club; Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD); Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
College plans: Am still debating on where I will be attending university. It is either ACU or Texas Tech, and I will be majoring in Pre-Med.
Birthplace: Abilene, Texas at Hendricks Hospital
One thing your parents, a sibling or even a best friend might not know about you: I have a sixth sense. I can tell when there’s monkeys around.

Lara,
I am so proud of you and your accomplishments!!! I wish you the best of luck at state! You have come so far since that day I met you when I came with Mrs. Parnell to your house to work with you before you started school! Of course, I hope you go to Tech because that is where went to school. God bless you always!
