Wylie: Randall Fowler
Age: 17
Grade: Junior
Event: Social Studies, Current Events
How long you’ve been competing: I've been competing since I was a freshman in current events, since I was a sophomore in social studies
What’s the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: It's always slightly nerve-wracking to think about what the questions are going to be, espeically the essay
First thing you’ll do when you win: I will probably celebrate not having to worry about UIL for 4 months
Past honors in the event: Won state current events in 2005 and 2006 as a team, won 3rd place individual in current events in 2006, won state social studies in 2006 as a team
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: I play football, and I am also active in FCA, Beltway youth group, Student Council, PALS, NHS, and am currently working at Beltway Park after school
College plans: Not sure what I want to major in, but will probably go to either Texas A&M or Baylor
Birthplace: Abilene
