Albany: Larissa Davis

Larissa Davis.jpgAge: 15

Grade: 9th

Event: UIL Spelling and Vocabulary

How long you've been competing in UIL: I've competed in UIL since the 4th

What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: I think the most nerve-wracking thing about Spelling and Vocabulary is waiting for the results because it takes a long time to grade!

First thing you'll do when you win: The first thing I'll do is call my family.

Past honors in the event: I have no previous honors because this is my first year to compete in Spelling and Vocabulary.

Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: I am in the high school band, drill team, and track team. I also competed in UIL Calculator and Number Sense.

College plans: I hope to attend Hardin-Simmons University or Baylor University and major in medicine.

Birthplace: Abilene, Texas

One thing your parents, a sibling or even a best friend might no know about you: I hope to one day travel around the world and learn the cultures and lifestyles of others.
