Colorado: Kyle Lemons
Age: 15
Grade: 10th
Event: Social Studies ("The Supreme Court")
How long you've been competing in UIL: From what I can recall, I've been competing in UIL since elementary school.
What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: The most challenging aspect of the Social Studies event in my opinion is the amount of time my team mates and I put into studying. We not only practice once a week for 3 to 4 hours, we also are expected to study the material on our own.
First thing you'll do when you win: I really don't know what I'll do if we win. I'll probably be speechless for a while.
Past honors in the event: In middle school I won 1st in Maps, Graphs, and Charts, 2nd in Math, and I tied for 2nd in Listening Skills.
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: Other than Social Studies I'm involved with the local 4-H club, the golf team, the track team, my church youth group, student council, and other similar activities.
College plans: Right now I'm planning to go to college for a degree in business or possibly a pre-law degree.
Birthplace: I was born August 18 in San Angelo, Texas.
One thing your parents, a sibling or even a best friend might not know about you: This is a difficult question. I'm usually open with my thoughts around my friends, family, etc. So I don't really know if there is anything that they wouldn't know about me.
