Event: Headline Writing, Alternate qualifier for Feature Writing

How long you've been competing in UIL: Two meets -- I did not begin competing until the District 8-4A Meet in March 2008. In Headline Writing, I was entered as the alternate when our third contest entrant was unable to travel to Joshua for the District competition.

What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: There isn't really a good way to practice journalism events!

First thing you'll do when you win: Apply for the UIL scholarship
