How long you've been competing in UIL: Journalism events for three years, UIL in general since third grade

 What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking thing about your event: interviewing someone at state

 First thing you'll do when you win: my mom and sister will be there with me, so probably get a double hug

 Past honors in the event: regional qualifiers sophomore year

 Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: basketball, softball, cheerleading, FFA, school newspaper (Lions Roar)

 College plans: attend Texas Tech University and major in Speech Pathology

 Birthplace: Abilene, TX
