Albany: Larissa Davis
Grade: 10th
Event: Spelling and Vocabulary
How long you've been competing in UIL: I've been competing in UIL since 4th grade.
What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking
thing about your event: The most
nerve-wracking thing about Spelling + Vocabulary is waiting many hours for
results.
First thing you'll do when you win: If we win, I will celebrate with the team and take dreaded
pictures.
Past honors in the event: Our Spelling and Vocabulary team made it to the state meet
my freshman year.
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: I participate in UIL mathematics, number sense, calculator,
Bible Drill, and cross-country. Also, I have been nominated and will attend the
National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine this summer.
College plans: My
college plans include entering a pre-med program, attending medical school, and
pursuing a career in oncology.
Birthplace: I
was born and raised in Albany, Texas.
One thing your parents, a sibling or even a
best friend might not know about you: One
thing some may not know about me is that I'm scared to death about my future
and expectations.
