Goldthwaite: Courtney Head
Grade: 11th
How long you've been competing in UIL: I have
been competing in UIL since 3rd grade; however, I have only been competing in
this particular event for two years.
What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking
thing about your event: Setting up and checking to make sure everything works
correctly is the most nerve-wracking thing to me because I'm always afraid
something will go wrong before the test even begins.
First thing you'll do when you win: SCREAM!
Past honors in the event: 2nd- District
'08,1st- District '09, 3rd- Regional '09
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: I
don't participate in any other UIL events, but I play softball and golf for the
school. I'm also a cheerleader for our high school and on a competitive squad.
I am also on the leadership team for our youth group of the First Baptist
Church.
College plans: I plan to attend Baylor
University and major in Fashion Merchandising. I want to cheer at Baylor on the
co-ed squad and I would like to study abroad either my junior or senior year.
My alternative option is New York University, but my parents aren't too wild
about that option.
