Jayton-Girard: Bailey Chisum
Grade: 11th
Event:
Editorial Writing
How long you've been competing in UIL: 10
years
What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking
thing about your event: I find it very difficult to pick one side and stick
with that view throughout my entire paper. I sometimes find myself supporting
the opposition.
First thing you'll do when you win: Give Coach
Reel a high-five!
Past honors in the event: 4th at
both District and Regional my Freshmen year. 2nd at District
and 3rd at Regional this year.
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events:
Basketball, Football, Track, Golf, Science, Social Studies, LD Debate, and
Literary Criticism
College plans: Lubbock Christian University
Birthplace: Lubbock, Texas
One thing your parents, a sibling or even a
best friend might not know about you: Michael Scott is my hero, and I aspire to
be a paper salesman.
