How long you've been competing in UIL: Since 5th
grade. In grades 5-8, I competed in oral reading (which is very similar to
prose and poetry oral interpretation. In 9th grade, I did
Lincoln-Douglas Debate; in 10th trade I did poetry oral
interpretation, and this year I did prose oral interpretation.
What's the most challenging/nerve-wracking
thing about your event: The most nerve wracking thing for me is sitting in the
room waiting my turn and watching the other contestants.
First thing you'll do when you win: Gasp!
Past honors in the event: 5th place
a the Burleson UIL Meet; 1st place at the Mineral Wells UIL Meet; 2nd
place at District 8-4A Meet; and 1st place at Region 1 UIL Academics
Meet
Extracurricular activities/other UIL events: Cheerleading,
Band, Student Council, Theater, National Honor Society, FUMC Youth Group
College plans: I hope to attend Cornell
University and participate in their affiliate program with the Culinary
Institute of America.
Birthplace: Dallas
One thing your parents, a sibling or even a
best friend might not know about you: When I'm upset or stressed, I bake or
cook to calm myself down.
