Those teams have to be feeling lucky about those deals, especially the Vikings, who didn't have a pick after the fifth round.

It makes you wonder how a guy like Baskett sits waiting while Anderson and Webb get the calls. Ganther gets a call, while Moore doesn't. Martin of Wyoming gets a call, but Gabriel Fulbright doesn't.

What is going on- is it a lack of respect for the program?

I don't understand.

Last year, we only had two on the draft board. That's two UNM NFL rookies. This year two were also drafted, but two more have signed free agent contracts, and if Gabriel Fulbright & Mike Mohoric hook up, we'll have six UNM NFL rookies this year. Not bad. So, the snub turns out to be a blessing in disguise, especially for Moore & Baskett, who we know can play in the NFL. Looks like Lobo fans will be following the Vikings this year. Go Lobos!

We KNOW DonTrell can play in the NFL? How exactly do we know this? Sure, 1000+ a season against relatively uninspiring competetion, 3 bowl games marred by lackluster performance or injury, serious knee injuries throughout his career. I see no guarantee that he can play at the next level. I do wish him the very best however, and truly hope he makes it in the NFL.
