The Mountain is coming
UPDATE: Here's a story with more details. Check out Thursday's Tribune for more developments.
Comcast just announced it has reached an agreement with CSTV to carry both CSTV and the Mountain in Albuquerque. The cable provider also will carry both networks in Colorado and Utah.
The Mountain is CSTV's new regional network devoted exclusively to Mountain West Conference coverage. Nine of the University of New Mexico football team's 12 games are slated to be carried on the Mountain. CSTV and the Mountain will be available in Albuquerque through Comcast's digital package.

Mountain West Conference commissioner Craig Thompson promised it would be available on satellite providers nationwide, but no official agreements have been announced. He said some of the deals are sealed at the last minute and the conference is actually ahead of schedule since the Mountain doesn't launch until Sept. 1.

I was hoping it would be part of the Basic plus package which I presently have. Wonder how much more the Digital package will cost me.

Assuming these channels are in the sports pack, it looks like DirecTV could be cheaper. The basic package is $45 per month plus $12 for the Sports Package.
