Chapter 6, Adriana gets the memo too late
Being a newspaper intern in a city you don't know is not an easy job.
At the beginning you have no friends, no family, no (real) home, and to top it off you are dealing with the real work environment. You are always wondering how the rest of the interns feeling, or doing about certain things. Brothers Will and Theodore Bressman saw the importance of having gone through internships before you graduate, but also noticed how hard it can get to be an intern.
They decided to do something about it.

History can be unsatisfying, by Nathan Mattise
Sometimes you get to see history by chance, but sometimes you have the opportunity to seek it out. Bob Dylan coming to Albuquerque fits the latter description.
You better believe I was at Journal Pavilion two hours before showtime.

Chapter 5, Adriana keeps Albuquerque weird
Because some intern (who is not from Albuquerque) had to do something like this, I came up with some of the unusual things I have seen in Albuquerque that I haven’t seen in El Paso or in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México.

Why Harry Potter 5 grossed more than Transformers, by Nathan Mattise
"Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix" made a ton of money since its release. It was second among films all-time in presale tickets and had opening weekend U.S. box office sales of $77 million.
That's more than twice what "Transformers" brought in.
What gives? Both films have cult-ish followings (ask any '80s child about Transformers). Both films feature unworldly action and content (robots and wizards, oh my). And both films offer tons of merchandising potential (honestly I still had these sheets in the early '90s). After seeing the latest film and following the past four closely, the answer to Harry Potter's sales supremecy is clear.
It's all about sex. Well, sex appeal.

Abby and the Magician
Normally, The Tribune does not honor publicity stunts, but recently the paper came across a clever one.
A package was sent to Editor Phill Casaus. It came with a telephone message not open it, but to call James Clark, the sender.
Casaus passed the package to Bill Slakey, the city editor, just in case the paper could find a humorous story in it.

The Sports Intern: Basketball is poetry in motion.
J.J. Redick was a good college basketball player. e.e. cummings is not.
e.e. cummings is a good poet. J.J. Redick on the other hand...

Chapter 4, at the least expected moment, México surprises Adriana
I got to the office last Friday, and as usual, I turned on my computer. I opened Firefox to check my Hotmail account. I read the usual New York Times e-mail newsletter, and there it was as one of the top news stories: Far From Home, Mexicans Sing Age-Old Ballads of a New Life.

Abby's Encounter with Personality Tests
It’s time to blog again. I read Stacy Sacco's column this week and I took the color test. I am red.
