Menaul SchoolThis school did not respond to a request for graduation information. Senior Thoughts
By Jeffrey Nawrocki Menaul School upholds steadfast dedication to a powerful mission statement that revolves around "preparing students for success in college and preparing them to engage the world as lifelong learners and ethical leaders in service to the community." The years spent in the Menaul School community are more than obligatory dues put in to receive an education; rather, one has the opportunity to embrace the true beauty of many diverse cultures, traditions and faiths as he or she expands knowledge of academics. The goals of the school, based around the desire to witness graduates' success, can empower and motivate students to make educators, as well as themselves, proud. As graduation approaches over the course of the senior year, the realization of what is important and what will be taken away from school as one departs becomes paramount. The importance of graduating is not just a matter of letters on a transcript anymore, nor is it simply a drive to move on from high school. Instead, graduation from Menaul School becomes a symbol of pride, success and honor. A graduating senior doesn't simply take away a vast knowledge of American literature, calculus, physics or chemistry from the classroom, for anyone could read and learn these studies on his or her own time. In addition, the Menaul School community builds faith and love of the diversity that can be found in the world around us every day. Walking away from the Menaul community a graduate is like walking away from several years of enlightenment and accomplishment that has prepared one to embrace the dynamic nature of our world. There is not only a depth of experiences and knowledge that a senior realizes he or she has at the end of the final year. There is also a firm foundation of faith and respect for all that has been achieved. It is fulfilling to recognize that having a good education and taking part in great extracurricular activities is completely possible at Menaul. It is even more fulfilling to understand that there is plenty of room in the heart of the community to succeed and build faith. To move on to college carrying the pride of Menaul School's education fulfilling . . . but moving on to the future carrying the spirit, determination and love of this school's community, built upon faith and dignity, makes graduating as a senior from Menaul School an invigorating experience, a stepping stone in the pursuit of success and an honor in itself.
