It's only two days 'til Halloween, so you need to road-test those costumes. Here's a chance to to it, and see a new play to boot. Changing Scene Theatre Northwest, the bestest little theater in Kitsap, is staging "At the Witch's House," a new children's comedy by Darren R. Schroader and Tim Brown, and directed by Changing Scene's artistic director, Pavlina Morris. There's a costume contest for the special Halloween night performance, Tuesday at 7 p.m., but I'm sure nobody'd mind if the kiddles wore their costumes to today's 2 p.m. matinee, either. Bainbridge Performing Arts has a winner on its hands with the high-brow comedy of Tom Stoppard in a show called "Arcadia," which finishes its three-week run tonight (7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (3 p.m.) at The Playhouse, 200 Madison Ave. N on Bainbridge Island. Yers Truly gave it four stars, which is as high as I go. You'll think the sets, the costumes, the acting and the play all rock — and don't worry that it's billed as "intellectual" ... it's FUNNY! Sam Shepard Will Put You Right Off Your Corn on the Cobb, He Will

I don't know about you, but I never miss a chance to see Kings of Leon whenever they're in town, as they are at 8 p.m. at KeyArena. Inexplicably, though, they're the opening band for some over-the-hump songwriter named Bob Dylan, who hasn't made a good album since, well, actually, his most recent album ... and all his other albums. Can you tell yet that I'm being facetious? Anyway, suck it up for one more night of big-time mature rock-n-roll and get thee back to The Key. With any luck, Bob'll do "Tangled Up in Blue."
