Rain Tuesday?
Below is the forecast rainfall by the GFS. 3 to 5 inches across Nebraska and Iowa as the front moves through. Any slight change and it will rain here, so let's hope for a slight change.

Gary, just a quick question. We will be in Tampa, Florida the first week of August. Could you tell me what the general risk of tropical weather/hurricane is in Florida for 1-2 weeks out? Much appreciated.
Jeff Williams
Jeff,
It is too early to tell. This has been a very active season, but maybe it will calm down for a couple of weeks.
Right now we don't see Florida as being in the path of any tropical systems for a couple of weeks. Good luck!

Once this large high movees through, will that mean the heat trend for the summer is broken and more lows will be moving through?
DWIGHT:
Thanks for writing! Once the high moves to our East... we will have a period where our rain chances go up quite a bit (Tuesday into Wednesday). A front will be dropping into the KC area. This will also bring us some cooler temperatures. But we are seeing another ridge building into the Southwest, so the wet weather will be short-lived for now.

Gary, I was looking for the humidity numbers on the website and couldn't find it anywhere. Is it here somewhere? It would be interesting to know what our percentages have been.
See you at the gym!
Lisa
Lisa,
You can go to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill's website amongst other places to get humidity. We should have it as well on ours, but it isn't there now.
