Windy and Stormy
We just got a comment:
Dear Gary, my wife and I were wondering what breed of dogs are Windy and Stormy? Are they Heinz 57 mix or full bred.
Thanks for the reply
Randy
Pomona
Randy,
Windy and Stormy are mixed breeds. Windy is a Keshond/collie/shepard mix, and Stormy is like a miniature German Shepard. She may be mixed with shelty or something like that, or perhaps fox, just kidding, I think.
Windy is really getting old. She is now 15 years 8 months old and really slowing down. It will be a difficult year as I know she only has a few months left. I am trying to enjoy every day with her. We had a nice little walk this morning, but she wanted to go back on the air conditioner vent fast. Her Arthritis is her biggest problem. She still see's and hear's quite well. Stormy is 4 1/2 years old.

Above is a picture of Windy eating custard. She only had a few licks. Thank you for asking about them.

Dear Gary, thanks for sharing about your pets. I am sorry that Windy is not doing well. I know how pets can become a special part of one's life - especially in your case you take them to schools and functions etc.
Randy
Thanks Randy,
Windy is hanging in there and enjoying her life. I am getting her shaved on Friday. She usually enjoys that!!

Thank you for sharing the pictures of Windy, she is so pretty. My family and I moved here from Ohio in 1994, and first saw you and Windy on another station, and I will never forget how many tricks she can do. We are thinking of you and Windy and Stormy. Pets are a very important part of our lives as well, our black cat, who is named Boo, saved my stepfather's life last year when he had a heart attack at home. We have a Jake, who is a Golden Retriever, and Amanda who is a Dalamtian. But in the end it was the cat who knew something was terribly wrong. I don't know what I would ever do without my four legged "kids". Thanks again for sharing the pictures. Kathy
Kathy,
Thank you for sharing your story!

I was planning to go to the lake of the ozarks in early august this year. Is it going to be warm and storm free or like last year really cold and rainy?? I know its a couple of weeks away but i thought i would ask?? thanks
Brad,
I doubt it will be anything like last year, but it may rain at least once.

Gary: Thanks for sharing the picture of Windy eating her custard! Both she and Stormy are fantastic. I have sent your "blog" to my sister in Alabama. She used to live here and always asks about Windy.
I had a cat named Ceasar. He had and untreatable form of diabetes and unfortunately, we had to put him down two years ago. I have a fantastic picture of him that I'd like to submit for your pet pics. He was calendar cat of August with his Chiefs pom poms and hat. My problem is will I get the photo back? I'd don't want to part with it. Let me know. Give Windy and Stormy hugs and kisses for me and my sister.
Kerry
Kerry,
We can send it back to you. Just make it clear that this is what you want us to do. I just gave Windy and Stormy a kiss from you and your sister.

Hi Gary,
Can you please post a picture of your dog Stormy? I have a mixed breed dog named Peyton and I have heard from several people that she looks just like Stormy. I am wondering if maybe they aren't from the same breed? Peyton is also 4.5 years old. I just bought a stuffed animal from Hy-Vee of Stormy- by the way. It looks so much like Peyton.
Thanks!
Holly
HOLLY:
Gary is off this week, but he sent me a few pictures of Stormy! I will post them in a blog entry tonight!
Thanks for posting,
Jamie

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is still possible to get the Windy and Stormy stuffed dogs? I know that they were originally available at HyVee but am sure they are all gone by now. Anyone with ideas? (Windy is my first choice.)
Thank you!
JW,
We still have a few at our studios. Let me know and you can pick a couple up. They are only $5 each.
