Weather Pattern theory part 1

Good evening everyone! It is almost October 15th which is a very exciting date to me. It was sometime during the mid 1990s that I noticed a new weather pattern sets up around this date and shows itself between October 15th and November 5th. And, now, years later I have been studying the weather patterns and I believe this happens every year without exception.

My theory: A unique pattern sets up every year between October 15th and November 5th. This pattern then begins cycling. We can make a first guess as to what the weather pattern may be, but it isn't until the first cycle is complete before we "know" the pattern. This completion date is variable. Last year we were in what we believe to have been a 73-77 day cycle. The year before was roughly a 54 day cycle and in 2002-2003 it was a 34 to 38 day cycle.

So what will the pattern be this winter and in the months that follow? Well, it is too early to tell.

We will have part 2 later this week.

can you give us a hint at the winter forecast?

Matt,

According to our theory, in which Gary Lezak, discovered, the winter pattern sets between about October 15th and November 10th. It then develops a cycle and continues until the followiing summer, before ending. Each year is unique. We are just getting to the time the winter pattern sets up. It is currently in its infancy. We will know much more by the middle of November.

First I want to thank you for helping me over the phone 1 1/2 years ago. My daughter was having severe allergy problems, even though we were using an air purifier.

Gary, you were so very nice and extremely kind to not rush me and you helped me understand the current pollution levels, etc.

We enjoy you so very much....you are a"REAL WEATHER MAN"!!!!!!!

Thank you also for these extra efforts on theories and information. You, sir, are a very important part of our lives. We won't watch anyone else. Please don't ever consider moving....we would be hurt and lost.

Thank you and may God bless you. Elizabeth and the rest of the staff and your families,

Herb Weldon I Cor. 9:22

Herb,

Thank you for those kind words. If you ever have any other questions, do not hesitiate to call.

Gary,
Is your weather pattern theory getting good acceptance from the rest of the weather forecasting community? I remember something in the blog a while ago about you presenting it at a conference so I was just curious. Keep up the great work!

Denise,

My theory has been received with mixed emotions, but it will be discovered one of these days soon. I have more work to do. But, it is happening again right now.

gary...when you talk about this weather pattern theory is it just for the winter weather pattern or is it the entire weather pattern for all 4 seasons. How are all of you guys doing in the weather center. Im doing fine just wondering if you have answered my weather questions? Im ready for SNOW!!! Im starting to get excited but I unfortunatly i know we still have a month to maybe up to 2 months before snow. But im ready for snow. Take care John Moon III

John,

First of all I am sorry that I have not responded to your questions. Send them to me again this week and I will get to at least a few of them. Pick the ones you really want me to answer.

I will talk more about my theory in the coming weeks, but to answer your question the pattern begins cycling in November and then doesn't die until sometime in the late summer.

Gary, we are still waiting for you to post the presentation you gave at the conference this summer...any way you could do that? Or maybe is it available on a website from the conference? I'd love to read about your theory in more scientific detail.

Rob,

My abstract was published, but the presentation itself is not available. I have it on CD but it really needs me to narrate it. Keep reading and I will go into major detail as we approach November.

Are you going to have a snowflake contest this year, if you are when will it start?

I ask because Denver has already had snow and the earliest snow for Kansas City is coming up pretty quick (October 22).

Scott,

We are planning on starting the snowflake contest by next Monday. I really like to start it around October 1st, but we are waiting on a sponsor.

Gary,

I was watching Dave Letterman last night and he started talking about the movie The "Fog" and how they are advertising it. He then put up on the screen an elaborate definition of fog by none other than you!! Were you aware of this and did you see it?? It was very funny!!

Joe

Joe,

I did end up seeing the clip. They, somehow, chose me for the bit. Very cool.
