A Cold Thanksgiving
TODAY'S NUMBERS:
HIGH: 48
LOW: 30 (and falling....)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!
Temperatures have been dropping all day. That high of 48 degrees actually happened shortly after midnight. We've been in the 30s for the afternoon and evening hours. Wind chills are near 20 degrees as of this writing!
Friday we'll see things warm up a BIT as a warm front lifts through. I say a BIT because temperatures will still only be in the upper 40s, and it will be breezy. Expect mid-50s Saturday and Sunday... with an increase in clouds Saturday and the chance of rain starts Saturday night. Here is a look at the weekend storm as it moves into Kansas City:

This is the NAM for Sunday morning. Gary will have an update tonight at 10pm! I am off to eat some dinner with my family!
Hope you had a wonderful holiday!

Hey weather team, Im a Sophmore in Highschool and I would like a career in Meteorology. I would like to know what are some classes I should take and what should I learn. Onto another subject does it look like any winter type storms any time soon. Thanks you guys are the best
DANIEL:
Take lots of math and science classes throughout high school!! Study geography, too... and once you get into college... there will likely be a class program to follow. You'll take classes like: Intro to Meteorology, Synoptic Met, Climate Change, Thermodynamics, Water Resources... etc.
Hope that helps!
