Here We Go!
TODAY'S NUMBERS:
HIGH: 52
LOW: 25
We are well on our way into a BIG warming trend! We are still looking good for highs in the 70s Monday through Wednesday. An upper level ridge will be building in... keeping us WARM and DRY. You can see it on the NAM's 500mb forecast (18,000 ft) for Tuesday:

A cold front is forecast to come through Wednesday afternoon... that will drop temperatures for the second half of the week. Although it won't drop them MUCH... highs will still be in the 50s.
As for next weekend's storm... it is still showing up... but there is not a lot of confidence on WHERE the rain will fall at this time. I put in a 20% chance for Saturday into Sunday... we'll see!! We really do need it, that's for sure!
Enjoy the warm weather!

I enjoy reading the weather blog and having the High and low temperatures for the day listed. Is there a way to also put in the records for the day? I am glad that was able to see a blog from Jeff. Are we going to have Brett blog more often too?
Michael,
Thank you for the feedback. Brett is quite busy in between shows. As soon as NBC Action News Today is over at 7 AM he is beginning his preparations for the 10 AM show Kansas City Live. I am sure he will blog at times, though.

I guess our winter is about over. I hope not!!! We still can have some good snowstorms in March. But it doesn't look like much for the next seven days. Do you see any chances for snow in March? I am wondering if our spring is going to be active or not? I am finally going to start on my tornado simulator and I hope to get it done by May at the latest. Tell everyone I said hi.
:) John Moon III
John,
It snows almost every March, but this pattern won't support it. There may be one more chance before the end of the month but I doubt it.
Let us know you your tornado simulator project goes.
