Great day for a swim
Good evening! Earlier this morning Jamie and I, with her husband Ken and some other friends including MAGS and STORMY went to Shawnee Mission Park at the off leash area. Stormy went way out almost half way across the lake, well it seemed that way, to get her ball. Mags is only 6 months old, but she is becoming quite the swimmer as well.
We hope you enjoy the pictures. More on the weather later.

Great pictures. It was a great day today.
What do you see in the way of T-storms tomorrow? You think we might get some much needed rain?
Ben,
I DECIDED TO BLOG ABOUT OUR DOGS TODAY BECAUSE THE WEATHER IS NOT VERY EXCITING RIGHT NOW. THE CHANCE OF RAIN IS VERY SLIM AS THIS WEAK COLD FRONT MOVES BY.

Great Pictures! With the current pattern cycling when do you think we will receive some significant precipitation along with below normal temperatures? We have been above normal for average temperatures every month this year.
Devin Kellerman
DEVIN,
I THINK WE WILL HAVE SOME WET STORM SYSTEMS, HOWEVER I AM BEGINNING TO GET CONCERNED BECAUSE RIGHT NOW NOTHING IS SHOWING UP AT ALL. I THOUGHT ALL ALONG IT WOULD TAKE UNTIL LATE APRIL, MAY, AND JUNE, BUT THE PRESSURE IS NOW ON.

Hi! I really enjoy the pictures. I'm so glad to see the friendship of co-workers. It is very important. That is what makes your weather team special. I really hope it does rain. I know how everyone loves mowing the yard. Ha! Ha! Thanks for keeping us posted. With the wind lately it is good for flying kites.
Lisa
LISA,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS. AND, FLYING A KITE MIGHT BE TOUGH TODAY.

Gary, with the exception of more violent weather then you predicted for early spring, this spring seems to be setting up EXACTLY like you predicted well back in the winter months. How do you see the next few months going as we transition into summer?
JON,
I STILL THINK IT WILL BE WET IN MAY AND JUNE WITH THIS PATTERN, BUT IT IS DRY NOW.

Well my dog thinks she should come in because it's cloudy and windy. She is half lab, half golden retriver, smart and spoiled. It feels cold to me (former desert girl remember) and it's my day off. Tomorrow I'll be working 7a-7p at the hospital and won't get to enjoy the sun. It will be out won't it?
JERI,
WEDNESDAY'S WEATHER LOOKS FANTASTIC.

Hi Gary,
My only weather observation is a freeze on the 19th or 20th? The average is the 19th.
Otherwise, (and I apologize for being out of the loop), but did Windy pass away?
GARY,
WINDY IS, AMAZINGLY, STILL ALIVE AND DOING WELL. HER LIFE IS NOW AS A VERY OLD DOG. SHE IS 16 1/2 YEARS OLD AND WE WILL POST A COUPLE OF PICTURES NEXT WEEK. SHE IS GETTING SHAVED SATURDAY.
THANKS FOR ASKING. I WILL GET HOME TONIGHT AND PET HER FOR YOU!

After a long struggle, we lost a 20 YEAR OLD Cocker early last year. I'm thankful Windy is still, well- Windy!!! We now have a new dog, well we've had him for a year. He's about half Lab and half of every other dog. We named him Bob.....Bob Barker. Let's just say the last name speaks for itself. He's almost 80 lbs. We have 3 cats and Bob loves and protects all of them. Ironically, I find the cats protecting him more than anything and they sleep together.
Gary B.
GARY:
I am sure you had many wonderful years with your Cocker! Bob sounds like a great dog, too... that is SO cute that he is friends with the cats! :)
