Rain potential closing on Saturday
Good evening! The upper low is forming to our northwest on Saturday. If this happens, then once again we are in the wrong quadrant of the storm. Before this happens we should get one very nice band of rain tonight putting our totals up to the one inch of rain that I promised would be wide spread. So, we shouldn't complain, but I can imagine the disappointment for some of you out there. I am sorry if I have gotten a bit defensive on my comments but this only happens when a storm begins to frustrate us all. And, once again, this storm is frustrating. This is why I call it a "cut-off low, weatherperson's woe".
Remember......We did get a nice soaking. There is still some potential for a second band of rain, but when the upper low forms to your northwest you get DRY SLOTTED every time.
Have a great weekend. Everything else is going well. Windy had some issues on Monday so it was an emotional week, but she is all better now and enjoying the new puppy Breezy. Windy, Breezy, and Stormy are all adjusting and loving each other. Windy is on her way to 17 years old in November. The way she acted today I think she will make it.

My daughter is suppose to have softball practice in the morning at 8? We were hoping to sleep in instead. Do you think it might still be raining then? Hope Windy is ok. The new puppy is adorable. Those ears!
THE RAIN MAY BE OVER BY 8, BUT IT COULD STILL DRIZZLE, AND IT WILL BE WET.

Yaaay, finally some rain without the tornados! :D It's about time, I'm a little tired of hearing "We may or may not get some rain, but we also might get some severe weather". Finally, a nice soaking!
I'm also sorry to hear about Windy's issues. But I'm glad to know she's getting better. I can't believe she's gonna be 17 this November... She was born a month after me, so Windy and I are the same age right now!!!!! :D
I'll be watching you... At 10pm tonight. I'll be looking forward to the forecast!!!!
Thanks NICOLE,
Have a great weekend. I will pet Windy for you in the morning when she wakes up.

Gary, I'm a little perplexed by your comments. This is exactly what we need, nice soaking rains, so what if we don't have damaging thunderstorms with flooding rains! I know that makes for great "news", but don't you think all the farmers in our area are grateful for this? Enjoy our beautiful spring, and don't worry we'll definetly have bad weather again, trust me!
Greg,
I wasn't being sarcastic. I meant, this is exactly what we needed, a nice soaking rain. Maybe I was very tired tonight and it didn't come out that way. But, I PREFER THIS over severe weather any day.
So, did you just take it the wrong way? I am sorry if you did?

Gary, I just thought it was a little odd that some folks might be "dissapointed", by our rainfall, because there was nothing severe associated with it. I enjoy your enthusiasim for your work, keep it up!
HI, GREG!
There are some people that may never be satisfied! ;) From what I see... most areas have already seen a good soaking. We still have 2 days to go! And while the rain looks like it could be less wide-spread... there is still the chance of additional rain on top of what we have already received.
