The weather pattern!
There may be thunderstorms near the weak cold front Tuesday and we will track it during the morning. More importantly is the entire weather pattern that continues to cycle. I don't know if you are a believer yet, but it is fascinating to me. If you are a regular blogger then you have gone through this entire season with us. This weather pattern set up in October and November and it continues to cycle as summer approaches. Remember the cold outbreak in December and in February, then in late April and could it possibly happen in mid to late June. YES! Because it is the SAME pattern. But a cold outbreak this time could result in very wet and cool, or dry and cooler. I lean towards the wet and cool at this moment.
More later.....

I have never been so frustated in my life! we can't buy rain here.. it looked like the first line of storms off that MCV would get me in trenton.. but.. nada.. nothing happened! we got a few sprinkles, not even enough to wet the pavement. then the second batch formed.. went way to the west of me. and then the storms in NE DIED! what does a guy got to do to get some rain.. it's getting bad up here. if we don't start getting serious rains soon we are going to have water supply issues.
Glen,
Be patient. I will likely be doing an outlook for the next 15 days tonight. It looks wet.

Gary,
The SPC has the eastern side of Kansas in a slight risk for severe weather today. As the day goes on do you think they increase the risk or decrease if the thunderstorms fire up along the cold front.
Jeff,
I doubt there will be any increase in the risk as there are some limiting factors such as we are in the wake of another MCV over Oklahoma. But, there still could be a few severe thunderstorms.
