Raaaaaaiiiin!
Good morning!
Well, good news... we are picking up some much-needed rain over the area this morning. And we'll continue to see the rain on and off today through tomorrow. There may be a pretty good dry period that works in this afternoon, before it picks up again. But these things are almost impossible to time out... so the chance is broad-brushed throughout the day.
So far this morning... (as of 7:30am)... here are some numbers:
KCI: .25"
DOWNTOWN: .26"
OLATHE: .20"
TOPEKA: .43"
LAWRENCE: .60"
EMPORIA: .12"
ST. JOSEPH: .08"
With the rain and clouds around... our highs today and tomorrow will struggle to get into the 60s. Upper 50s look about right. Then a break in the rain for Tuesday, which looks like a rather NICE DAY!!!! We should see some sunshine and highs back into the 70s. The NEXT storm is due in on Wedensday... bringing cooler temperatures and another rain chance.
I will update later today with new rainfall totals! Send 'em in... if you got 'em!!
Have a good one,
Jamie

First freeze and now some rain. Plus the Chiefs play today....on a day when it will be awesome to hang out inside and watch football?
Gotta go to the store and get some chili ingredients.

I woke up around 1 P.M., It was raining, but it was starting to move to the NORTH of us, which suprised me, so do you think that St. Joe will be in the next area of rain?(although I am happy because I can tell we got hit pretty good by the last batch.)
Thanks for your time.
Nick in St. Joe!
NICK:
Officially, you had over an inch in St. Joe... wow! The next batch looks to be targeting the southern and eastern portion of the viewing area, but you could still get some action up your way. Let's see where the rain sets up later this evening.

Hi Jamie!
1.31 inches here at 87th Metcalf in Overland Park. Any guesses on when we should start to see redevelopment for the next round? This round didn't take all the moisture from the atmosphere did it?
Thanks and have a great day! Go Chiefs!
Todd
TODD:
We are expecting another batch of rain to develop sometime this late afternoon/evening... so there should be more to come. And I second your "Go Chiefs!" :)
