A band of sleet, snow, something
Good afternoon,
There is a band of precipitation associated with a little disturbance moving across the area. It should pass through fairly quickly between now and 4 PM. Later this afternoon we will blog about the potential for a brutal Arctic outbreak that may be in the forecast within 10 days.
In the mean time let us know if you see any snowflakes, graupel, or whatever it is that is heading our way.

Thanks Gary! I was looking at the radar and I kept wondering what the heck was heading this way. I teach school so I always like to know what is going on with the weather for recess and dismissal. Your website and blog are my primary sources of info during the day! Your awesome!

Laura,
Thank you! A few people did see a few snow flakes and some sleet.

Good! Just wish that the stuff on the ground wouldn't melt!! We are about 2 months until Spring Begins or the new Season of no snow, but rain.

Hello Mr. Lezak, we had some sleet, rain, and a few flurries here in Leavenworth. Not much, but nice to see some precip.
See any signs of another snowstorm in the near future?

Ben,
Nothing showing up yet, but sometime next week we may have a good chance.

Gary,
Does this "potetial Arctic outbreak" Fit in to your pattern? Also if it did happen before, when, and was there a storm?
Andy

Andy,
We had a pattern similar to this in October. There wasn't a big storm with it then, but, maybe this time through something will form.

We actually got about 10 minutes of a mix in Lawrence, not enough to stick but enough get an umbrella out.
