Snow is increasing!
11:08 AM ESP RADAR
Good late morning. The snow continues to increase. We are now expecting 1" to 2" across the south metro area with 1/2" to 1 1/2" between KCI and St. Joseph. There is a wave of energy aloft moving across southwest Kansas right now and should pass us by around 7 PM. Once it passes the snow should shift well off to the east. Exciting for snow lovers.
Be careful out there as the roads are immediately getting covered. More later this afternoon.

Should have stuck with my forecast of 1-3 in. When will I learn to trust the SPC, and to throw out one bad run? Curses!
LET IT SNOW!

Scott,
Dusting to 2 inches was the right call on this. You should just trust yourself. Anyway, it is beautiful and fluffy, but it won't last long enough for more than 1 or 2 inches. I don't think so anyway.

Gary-
We are planning to drive to Weatherford Tx to visit some friends for my bday- just wondering the best weekend- based on your theory, which weekend looks better for travel down I35 to Ft. Worth area- Feb 9-11 or 16-19. I would sure hate to get stuck in the Arbuckle Mts. in an ice storm.
Thanks

One source yesterday had moderate snow by next Tuesday but it is gone today. Wonder what was on the long range maps that brought that up? Tanks and stay safe in KC. Michael/Topeka
